About Us: Brooklyn-based telecom company seeking a skilled technician to join our growing installation team. We specialize in low-voltage voice, video, and data systems for commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities: Install and terminate low-voltage cabling for voice, video, and data systems Install and configure camera systems, access control devices (lock pads, keypads), and related hardware Program and troubleshoot cameras, recorders, and networked devices Test systems to ensure proper operation and document installation details Travel to customer sites across the five boroughs and nearby areas as required Maintain professional customer interactions and provide basic user training
Qualifications: Prior experience installing low-voltage systems (voice, video, data, cameras, access control) preferred Hands-on experience programming and configuring camera systems and recorders Familiarity with cable termination, testing tools, and basic networking concepts Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel across NYC Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good communication/customer service skills Ability to lift and handle equipment and work in varied environments
