What is Power BI ?

Power BI is a cloud-based business analytics service developed by Microsoft in 2011.

It provides visualisations and business intelligence capabilities that allow (non-developer) users to create personalised reports and dashboards. It can aggregate, analyse, and visualise data from various sources. Data Analysts can use Power BI to share reports and analyses among different departments of their company.

There are three different branches: Power BI Desktop, Power BI service, and Power BI mobile apps for iOS, Windows and Android devices.

It is rather intuitive for users of Excel, and integrates well with other Microsoft products.
