Quality Assurance Team Lead
The Quality Assurance Team Lead is responsible for the inspection of commercial and pharmaceutical products at each stage of production and coordinating at all levels for documentation purposes. The QA Team Lead will oversee a team of QA Technicians and direct workflow as needed. Responsibilities: Conduct regular inspections across presses, cutting machines, folders, and pack-out stations to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications. Oversee and manage the workflow of QA Technicians, assigning tasks and providing direction to achieve quality objectives. Collaborate with the QA Manager to collect and organize data for internal audits, investigations, and process improvements. Support and coordinate the rework of defective products when required to meet quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, promoting adherence to safety and cleanliness standards. Ensure compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Perform finished product inspections for commercial items to ensure they meet established criteria. Lead or assist in investigations related to Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), and customer complaints. Perform other quality-related tasks as assigned. With the support of the QA team, the Quality Team Lead will also perform following as needed: Conduct inspections of first articles, in-process products, and final releases to confirm compliance with customer specifications. Verify the correct packing and labeling of finished product cartons. Perform rub tests and barcode scans as needed to validate product durability and accuracy. Conduct periodic comparator checks of printed materials to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED with a minimum of one year of experience in quality control, preferably in the printing industry. Working knowledge of computer systems. Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills. Strong experience interpreting and applying ISO 9001 standards. Must be able to read a ruler to 1/64". Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and uses hands and fingers in continuous and repetitive motions.
