Human Resources Generalist Location: Kearny Mesa, San Diego, CA LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our client's growing team in Kearny Mesa, San Diego. This role is ideal for a proactive HR professional who enjoys supporting employees while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, leave administration, and HR compliance. This position will partner closely with department managers to support hiring efforts, resolve employee concerns, and promote a positive workplace culture. Additional responsibilities include maintaining employee records, assisting with policy implementation, coordinating training programs, and supporting payroll as needed.
Responsibilities:
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace concerns Administer employee benefits, leave of absence requests, and workers' compensation claims Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR documentation is compliant and up to date Assist with payroll processing and resolve payroll-related inquiries as needed Support performance management, employee engagement, and training initiatives Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies Partner with managers to address employee relations matters and provide HR guidance Prepare HR reports and maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information Assist with special HR projects and process improvements Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years of Human Resources experience Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Paycom, UKG, or similar platforms Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required Assignment Details:
