The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Grand Rapids that are seeking Operations Managers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize productivity and quality.
- Manage inventory levels and supply chain logistics to prevent stockouts and minimize waste.
- Lead, train, and mentor production teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
- Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and quality control, to achieve company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and productivity
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams
- Proficient in using ERP systems and other manufacturing software
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software like SAP or Oracle.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and manage change initiatives within an operations environment.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP).
