We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager who can operate independently, ramp up quickly, and successfully lead complex technology initiatives from planning through delivery. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across all aspects of project management, excels at building strong stakeholder relationships, and consistently delivers results in fast-paced environments. This role will be leading a major GIS Transformation project with a large local utility, so experience with GIS and geospatial technologies is required.

Responsibilities
Leading multi-disciplinary project teams across IT and business organizations, managing IT scope, schedule, 24 month rolling forecast, and communication to all stakeholders.
Partners with stakeholders to lead the project planning effort, including scoping, definition of the project deliverables, creation of a logical work breakdown, structure and definition of major project milestones across several initiatives or programs.
Working with stakeholders to determine and align dependencies, identifying and tracking compliance requirements, then proactively managing risks and issues via identification and mitigation plans.
Developing and executing an effective plan for both change management and communicating project information to the project teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
8+ years of hands‑on project management and delivery experience with at least one full lifecycle in the utility space covering DER, Distribution systems, customer program or metering solutions implementation, plus a deep understanding of Enterprise Integration Services (EIS), Application Programming Interface (API), Customer Information Systems (CIS).
Deep experience in Agile, Waterfall, and other delivery methodologies in order to identify and blend methods to effectively align resources and manage multiple medium to high complexity projects in a cross-functional environment.
Ability to communicate at various levels - within the team/portfolio, as well as with senior leadership and other stakeholders- to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in fiscal reporting and management for operational, product/business, technology, and vendor stakeholders; includes tracking, reporting, and variance analysis.
Proficiency with standard project management tools and software suites. This includes, but not limited to Microsoft Project, Service Now, and SAP.
Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously to deliver on cross functional requirements.
