Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Licensed in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post, offering the opportunity to support daily operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while making a meaningful impact in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, offices, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor and employee inquiries, and support security-related protocols for restricted or high-traffic locations.
  • Maintain readiness to perform armed post duties in accordance with site requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
