ETC Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer and Tester to support a mission-critical U.S. Coast Guard software delivery program based in Kearneysville, WV. You will be the primary technical resource for balancing rapid deployment speed with exceptional product quality and security — architecting SQA frameworks and executing automated and manual test strategies for enterprise applications developed by platform-aligned product teams.
This is a hybrid position: a mix of on-site work in Kearneysville, WV and remote work.
*What You'll Do*
* Design, implement, and oversee enterprise-level test strategies, test plans, and automated testing frameworks for mission-critical applications
* Execute functional, regression, integration, performance, load, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
* Build and scale automated test scripts within CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines
* Establish quality gating controls, defect tracking, and test coverage metrics across multiple product lines
* Trace software requirements to test cases and ensure delivered capabilities are operationally sound
* Perform root-cause analysis on complex defects and performance bottlenecks through to remediation
* Ensure test procedures and baselines comply with federal security standards and DISA STIGs
*Must-Have Qualifications*
* *Active DoD Secret clearance (required — no exceptions)*
* DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, or CCNA Security)
* 6–9 years of relevant experience (or commensurate)
* Experience as a senior software QA engineer or test lead designing enterprise-level automated and manual test frameworks
* Hands-on automation experience with industry-standard tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Cucumber) integrated into CI/CD pipelines
* Strong command of SDLC, software assurance best practices, and Agile testing methodologies
* Experience producing Test Plans, Test Cases, Traceability Matrices, and Defect Reports
* Proficiency with enterprise tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow)
* Working knowledge of virtualization, REST API testing, SQL, and network boundaries
*Nice to Have*
* Prior support of U.S. Coast Guard, DHS, or federal software delivery programs
* ISTQB CTAL, CSQA, or Agile/Scrum certifications
* Experience with SAST/DAST security gating in a DevSecOps / cATO environment
* Section 508 accessibility validation and cross-platform usability testing

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
