We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Independent Sales Representative (1099 Contractor) to drive wholesale sales for OURbody, a Canadian women’s wellness brand specializing in functional herbal teas designed to support hormonal health across all life stages. The independent sales representative will be responsible for persuading wholesale partners to carry OURbody products, maintaining relationships relevant to the sales process, identifying networking opportunities, responding to sales-related inquiries as needed, and finding new wholesale accounts through cold-calling, emailing, networking, and social media outreach. You should also be able to implement effective sales strategies to continually meet or exceed sales targets.
This is a commission-only, remote role intended for U.S.-based contractors, with a primary focus on independent retailers, wellness spaces, cafés, boutiques, and specialty grocery stores in markets such as Austin, Texas and surrounding regions.
To be successful as an independent sales representative, you should be committed to achieving sales goals with minimal supervision and operating as an independent contractor. Ultimately, a top-performing independent sales representative should demonstrate effective communication and negotiation skills, deliver an exceptional brand experience, and consistently close wholesale deals aligned with OURbody’s values and positioning.
Identifying potential wholesale customers through networking, prospecting, and lead follow-up.
Arranging virtual or in-person meetings with potential and existing wholesale customers to present OURbody products.
Persuading wholesale buyers to purchase OURbody products by clearly communicating product benefits, ingredients, positioning, and brand values.
Building and maintaining strong working relationships with both new and existing wholesale partners.
Negotiating wholesale pricing, minimum order quantities, and reorder opportunities in accordance with OURbody’s established pricing structure.
Promptly submitting wholesale orders and required documentation to the relevant department for processing.
Following up with wholesale customers to ensure products meet expectations and to encourage reorders.
Completing required sales documentation and obtaining confirmations necessary to close each sale.
Addressing sales-related questions and relaying product concerns back to the OURbody team.
Representing the OURbody brand professionally and consistently across all sales channels.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED.
2+ years experience in sales experience, preferably in wholesale, wellness, CPG, food & beverage, or lifestyle brands.
Certified sales professional (CSP) certification is advantageous.
Ability to prospect and sell independently without direct supervision.
Ability to travel locally to wholesale customers if desired (travel not required).
Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills within the sales process.
Must be legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in the United States.
Compensation & Work Structure: Commission-only compensation: 10% on wholesale deals closed
No salary, benefits, or expense reimbursement
Contractor determines their own methods, schedule, tools, and business expenses, and may provide services to other clients
