Laboratory Technician in Device Design (Contract) Contract (1 year)
This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential technical support for multiple project teams within a dynamic Research & Development laboratory environment. Working at the intersection of Life Cycle Engineering and New Product Development, you will play a critical role in supporting device design initiatives that span radiology and cell gene therapy products across international operations in the United States, Germany, and Finland. This hands‑on role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative laboratory setting, working alongside skilled technicians and engineers to execute design testing and contribute to the advancement of medical imaging technologies. You will gain valuable experience with sophisticated testing equipment and cutting‑edge radiology injector systems while supporting the maintenance and enhancement of existing product lines for Sterile Disposables and Electro‑Mechanical components used in Contrast Media enhanced Medical Imaging across multiple modalities.
Responsibilities
Learn and operate various test equipment including Instron Universal Test Machines, Crescent Hydraulic Burst‑Leak Testers, and Cincinnati Sub‑Zero Environmental Chambers
Learn and operate Radiology injector systems across Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance, Cardiovascular, and Molecular Imaging modalities
Execute design testing in strict accordance with established test protocols and methodology
Access and work within qualified documentation and test systems to retrieve test information and maintain proper documentation
Provide technical support in developing test methods, including specifying and establishing necessary test equipment and fixturing
Attend meetings to provide technical input and support for life cycle and development test efforts
Collaborate with technicians across Sterile Disposables and Electro‑Mechanical disciplines within the laboratory space
Skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve technical problems in design testing
Creative problem‑solving skills to address challenging technical issues
Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Capability to prioritize assigned tasks and plan daily activities effectively
Strong time management skills to execute work efficiently within specified project timelines
Ability to work collaboratively within cross‑functional teams

Qualifications
Associate's degree, 2‑year trade/military school, or 2+ years of relevant work experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
