The Sr. Network Engineer I provides engineering and administration support for mission-critical enterprise networks. This position is responsible for implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable network solutions that support organizational objectives and ensure optimal performance and availability. Implement, configure, and support enterprise network solutions for federal government customers. Deploy and troubleshoot routing and switching technologies, maintain network performance and security, collaborate with project teams, and contribute to successful mission outcomes.
What you’ll need to succeed:
An active Top Secret security clearance required. 5+ years of experience in network engineering with hands-on responsibility for core enterprise routing and switching infrastructure. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education requirements. Demonstrated subject matter expertise designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF. Experience with Cisco SD-WAN. Experience with Peplink products. Proven experience supporting enterprise switching environments, including VLANs, STP, and related Layer 2 technologies. Experience managing and maintaining high-availability, high-performance network backbones in mission-critical environments. Hands-on experience with Cisco ASR, ISR, Catalyst, and Nexus platforms. Explicit experience performing network traffic analysis. CCNP Enterprise Certification.
SALARY RANGE:
$145,000 - $165,000 The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
Performance-based bonuses Company-paid training and/or certifications Referral bonuses
