Position Type: Support Staff/Educational Technician Special Education Date Posted: 6/26/2026 Location: Camden Hills Regional High School, Rockport, ME Date Available: Fall 2026 Closing Date: When candidate found Camden Hills Regional High School LIFE Readiness Program SpEd Ed Tech III Full-time with Benefits Fall 2026 OpeningPosition Summary The Five Town CSD partners with MSAD 40 in Waldoboro to offer a collaborative program for students who have been in a high school Life Skills program for four years but who are not ready to graduate and eligible for continued services. The program is small, community-based, and located at the Union Elementary School on Rt. 17 in Union. This opening is for the Ed Tech III who works on the Special Educational Transitional Life Skills Team with students (ages 18+) identified for special education for a variety of needs that may include cognitive, social, behavioral/emotional disabilities. Preference will be given to those with Special Education Experience. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with team members to support implementation of student IEPs Collect academic and functional data Support assigned students in general and/or special education settings, including the regular classroom, the self-contained classroom, and therapy classrooms Support students during lunch and during other nonacademic times Assist students with activities of daily living Teach students about community resources through outings and supported job shadowing Qualifications/Skills
Understanding of behavioral interventions, trauma informed teaching, and special education practices. Effective communication and active listening. Organizational skills. Ability to engage with students, home, school, colleagues, and the community to support student learning and wellbeing. Desire for ongoing professional development and improvement. Requirements
Background check, including fingerprinting Maine Department of Ed Tech III Certification Pay and Benefits
Pay is $25.06 - $27.58 per hour based on experience, within the parameters of the applicable contract Health Insurance (including Vision) Dental Insurance (100% Employee paid) 15 Sick Days 3 Personal Days 9 Paid Holidays (10 if Juneteenth falls before the last scheduled teacher prep day) FSA Eligible to contribute to a 403(b) retirement plan This is a Maine PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) covered position
