The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Sales Compensation (GSC) Operations team is seeking a Sales Compensation Systems Analyst to join our operations team. The role supports day‑to‑day administration of the Varicent ICM sales compensation system for sales incentive‑eligible employees worldwide, driving process improvements in compensation, quota management, quarter‑end payouts, and plan administration.
Key responsibilities
Validate data, quantify impact through analysis, and communicate proposed resolutions and timelines to leadership.
Identify operational risks and engage necessary stakeholders to frame issues and desired outcomes.
Communicate effectively with technical teams about root causes of issues and business requirements.
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for process and system updates.
Assist with the distribution of incentive compensation plans, including plan set up, quota shifts, and revenue adjustments.
Ensure all compensation methodologies, policies, procedures and governance are followed.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as HR, Tax, and Legal to maintain production alignment.
Support the global quarterly commission payout process, including manual compensation adjustments, calculations and approvals.
Create mechanisms to improve process efficiency.
Basic qualifications
4+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze large data sets.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience using sales CRM tools such as Salesforce.
Experience working in a sales organization and with sales data, processes, and policies.
Experience developing and implementing systems and tools for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, and sales force automation.
Preferred qualifications
Experience working within a high‑growth technology company.
3+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience.
