Job Description Summary The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of large, high-visibility, and potentially high-risk GRID high-voltage substation projects within the North America region. Typical project values range from USD 100M to USD 500M and form part of a multi-project portfolio. These projects include engineering, manufacturing, testing, delivery, installation and commissioning of HV equipment produced across multiple GE factories globally.
In this role, the Senior PM ensures that scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk are effectively managed, with strong coordination across customers, internal and external teams, and other GE Vernova businesses supporting the same end-customer program. The Senior PM plays a critical role in ensuring a positive customer experience while protecting Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Job Description
Responsabilités essentielles
Leadership et exécution de projets
• Diriger l'exécution de bout en bout de projets majeurs de sous-stations haute tension (HT), de l'attribution du contrat jusqu'à l'ingénierie, la fabrication, les essais en usine (FAT), la livraison, l'installation, la mise en service et la clôture.

• Traduire les exigences du client en plans d'exécution détaillés; mobiliser toutes les parties prenantes internes, y compris l'ingénierie, les usines, l'approvisionnement et la qualité, pour respecter les jalons contractuels.
• Développer et maintenir l'échéancier du projet, en assurant l'alignement avec la charge des usines, la disponibilité du matériel et les jalons du client.
Coordination interentreprises et PCO
• Représenter GRID dans la gouvernance des programmes clients impliquant plusieurs entreprises de GE Vernova (ex. : Gas Power, Grid, etc.), en assurant l'alignement sur les échéanciers, les interfaces, les risques et les rapports.
• Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe PCO pour assurer une communication unifiée, une gestion des risques consolidée et une livraison coordonnée de toutes les portées de GE au sein du programme client global.
Gestion financière et commerciale
• Responsable de la marge de contribution du projet, de la précision des prévisions et de la protection des marges sur l'ensemble du cycle de vie.
• Diriger les demandes de changement (Variation Orders), les modifications de portée, les réclamations et les négociations commerciales avec le soutien du gestionnaire de contrats et du PMO.
• Assurer le suivi des budgets du projet, des engagements et de l'estimation à l'achèvement (EAC), en assurant un rapport financier opportun, l'atténuation des écarts et le respect des objectifs financiers avec l'appui de l'équipe de contrôle de projet.
Gestion de l'ingénierie et des usines
• Piloter la libération de l'ingénierie, la coordination de la conception, les approbations de documents et la validation technique pour permettre une saisie des commandes et une allocation des créneaux de fabrication en temps opportun.
• Coordonner avec les multiples sites de fabrication de GE pour gérer le suivi de la production, la planification des FAT, la résolution des NCR et les priorités de livraison.
• Assurer une remontée rapide des informations vers la direction du portefeuille lorsque les contraintes d'usine ou les risques de chaîne d'approvisionnement affectent les échéanciers des clients.
Qualité, SSE et gestion des risques
• Assurer une adhésion stricte aux normes de santé, sécurité et environnement (SSE) et de qualité dans toutes les activités du projet, y compris les FAT et les interfaces de site.
• Identifier les risques du projet, élaborer des plans d'atténuation, établir des stratégies de contingence et suivre les événements déclencheurs tout au long de l'exécution.
• Piloter la résolution des NCR, les mesures correctives/préventives et les leçons apprises à travers le portefeuille.
Gestion du client et des parties prenantes
• Établir et entretenir des relations stratégiques avec les clients : services publics, EPC, développeurs et autres parties prenantes du projet.
• Fournir des rapports transparents, des remontées d'informations rapides et une communication cohérente pour maintenir l'alignement et la confiance.
• Diriger les réunions avec les clients, les revues de jalons, les FAT et les sessions de revue de projet.
Soutien aux soumissions et normalisation
• Soutenir les activités de soumission en validant les échéanciers, les coûts, les délais de fabrication et les risques d'exécution.
• Contribuer au déploiement de processus de gestion de projet normalisés, d'outils de PMO, de modèles et de manuels d'exécution (playbooks) à travers le portefeuille de projets.
Qualifications / Exigences
• Baccalauréat en ingénierie d'une université ou d'un collège accrédité.
• Minimum de 5 ans et plus d'expérience dans l'exécution de projets de sous-stations HT ou de réseaux haute tension.
• Capacité éprouvée à gérer de grands projets impliquant des équipements HT fabriqués en usine (transformateurs, GIS, disjoncteurs, contrôles).
• Expérience démontrée dans des rôles de projet en contact direct avec le client, avec responsabilité de la portée, de l'échéancier, des coûts et des risques.
• Solide sens commercial et compétences en négociation, avec de l'expérience dans les termes contractuels, les ordres de changement et la gestion des réclamations.
• Capacité à diriger des équipes interfonctionnelles (ingénierie, approvisionnement, usines, qualité, contrats) sans autorité directe.
• Volonté et capacité de voyager au niveau national et international (~25 \%).
• Solides compétences en communication, leadership, organisation, analyse et résolution de problèmes.
Caractéristiques souhaitées

Essential Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of large HV substation projects from contract award through engineering, manufacturing, FAT, delivery, installation, commissioning, and closeout.
- Serve as the primary customer-facing leader responsible for overall project performance, communication, and satisfaction.
- Translate customer requirements into detailed project execution plans; drive all internal stakeholders including engineering, factories, sourcing, and quality to meet contractual milestones.
- Develop and maintain the project schedule, ensuring alignment with factory loading, material availability, and customer milestones.
Cross-Business & PCO Coordination
- Represent GRID in customer program governance involving multiple GE Vernova businesses (e.g., Gas Power, Grid, etc), ensuring alignment on schedules, interfaces, risks, and reporting.
- Work closely with the PCO team to ensure unified communication, consolidated risk management, and coordinated delivery of all GE scopes within the overall customer program.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Responsible for project Contribution Margin, forecasting accuracy, and margin protection across the full lifecycle.
- Lead Variation Orders, scope changes, claims, and commercial negotiations with support from the Contract Manager and PMO.
- Track project budgets, commitments, and Estimate at Completion (EAC), ensuring timely financial reporting, variance mitigation, and adherence to financial targets with support from Project Control Team.
Engineering & Factory Management
- Drive engineering release, design coordination, document approvals, and technical validation to enable timely Order Entry and factory slot allocation.
- Coordinate with multiple GE manufacturing locations to manage production follow-up, FAT planning, NCR resolution, and delivery priorities.
- Ensure early escalation to portfolio leadership when factory constraints or supply-chain risks impact customer schedules.
Quality, EHS & Risk Management
- Ensure strict adherence to EHS and Quality standards across all project activities, including FATs and site interfaces.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, establish contingency strategies, and track trigger events throughout execution.
- Drive NCR resolution, corrective/preventive actions, and lessons learned across the portfolio.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strategic customer relationships with utilities, EPCs, developers, and other project stakeholders.
- Provide transparent reporting, early escalation, and consistent communication to maintain alignment and trust.
- Lead customer meetings, milestone reviews, FATs, and project review sessions.
Tender Support & Standardization
- Support tendering activities by validating schedules, costs, manufacturing lead times, and execution risks.
- Contribute to the deployment of standardized project management processes, PMO tools, templates, and execution playbooks across the project portfolio.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience executing HV substation or high-voltage grid projects.
- Proven ability to manage large projects involving factory-manufactured HV equipment (Transformers, GIS, Breakers, Controls).
- Demonstrated experience in customer-facing project roles with accountability for scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with experience in contractual terms, Variation Orders, and claims management.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams (engineering, sourcing, factories, quality, contracts) without direct authority.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (~25%).
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience managing projects involving multiple GE Vernova businesses within a unified customer program.
- Strong understanding of HV equipment engineering, manufacturing processes, quality standards, and FAT protocols.
- Ability to influence senior customer stakeholders and internal executive leadership.
- PMI certification (PMP or equivalent).

#LI-Remote - This is a remote position For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $145,400.00 and $242,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
