Business Development Representative

We are seeking a motivated and driven business development representative who is passionate about helping patients experiencing addiction, mental health challenges, and co-occurring disorders. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative treatment environment, is relationship-driven, and possesses strong communication and outreach skills. This role will work closely with referral sources, community partners, and the clinical teams to help support patient admissions, promote awareness of services, and contribute to each patient's recovery journey with empathy, professionalism, and integrity. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a business development representative who is eager to learn, grow, and work collaboratively alongside the clinical and admission teams while promoting the mission and services of Michael's House. The successful candidate will demonstrate compassion, adaptability, professionalism, empathy, and support the mission of patient-centered care while contributing positively to each patient's recovery journey.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining professional relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, hospitals, community organizations, and strategic partners; promoting awareness of inpatient addiction treatment, mental health services, and co-occurring disorder programs offered by Michael's House; working collaboratively with admission, nursing, clinical, and leadership teams to support patient referrals and community outreach; conducting community outreach activities, networking events, and marketing initiatives to strengthen community partnerships and referral relationships; educating referral partners, families, and community shareholders regarding available treatment plans, levels of care, and admission processes; supporting the coordination and facilitation of patient referrals and admission inquiries in a timely manner; maintaining accurate communication, documentation, and reporting related to outreach activities and referral development efforts; representing Michael's House in a professional and compassionate manner while upholding the company's mission, values, and commitment to patient-centered care; assisting in identifying opportunities for program growth, community engagement, and strategic business development initiatives; demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, referral sources, and multidisciplinary teams; and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, marketing, or communications; current basic life support CPR certification that includes AED training and hands-on skills assessment; and five or more years of experience working in behavioral health, mental health, addiction treatment, substance abuse recovery, detoxification, and/or inpatient healthcare settings. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, marketing, or communications; current basic life support CPR certification that includes AED training and hands-on skills assessment; certification through the American Heart Association preferred; and ten or more years of experience working in behavioral health, mental health, addiction treatment, substance abuse recovery, detoxification, and/or inpatient healthcare settings.
