Manufacturing Project Coordinator/Inside Sales

$80,000–$90,000 annually, based on experience
Position Overview We are seeking a Manufacturing Project Coordinator to support customer accounts, quoting activities, order entry, purchasing coordination, project follow-up, and production communication within an electronic manufacturing environment. This is not a traditional sales role and does not require cold calling or business development. The position focuses on supporting existing customers, reviewing prints and BOMs, preparing quotes, coordinating with internal teams, and helping ensure projects move smoothly from quote through production.
This position is best suited for professionals with approximately 3–5 years of manufacturing experience who are looking to continue developing their skills in project coordination, quoting, customer support, and manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong Excel and ERP system skills, some quoting experience, and the ability to work closely with purchasing, production, quality, engineering, customer service, and outside sales teams. Experience with printed circuit boards, cables, harnesses, box builds, or panel enclosures is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for existing customer accounts
Build and maintain professional relationships with customers through phone, email, and ongoing project communication
Prepare quotes, job costing information, and sales order entries
Review customer prints, drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
Break down BOMs and enter BOMs, jobs, and order details into the ERP system
Utilize Excel to organize pricing, customer data, order details, and project information
Coordinate with purchasing, manufacturing, quality, production, engineering, and outside sales teams
Assist with purchase orders, supplier communication, material sourcing, and order placement
Help resolve material shortages, scheduling concerns, production issues, and customer needs
Track customer orders and provide updates on timelines, materials, and project status
Review invoices, order details, pricing, and job documentation for accuracy
Maintain communication with existing customers and support account needs
Work with suppliers and internal teams to keep projects on schedule
Support purchasing processes, supplier management, material planning, and labor estimating
Utilize ERP and CRM systems to manage customer, order, and project information
Provide customer service support and problem-solving assistance as needed
Qualifications
Associate degree required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Approximately 3–5 years of manufacturing experience preferred
Some quoting experience required
Experience supporting customer accounts within a manufacturing environment
Inside sales, account management, customer service, customer support, or customer-facing manufacturing experience required
Experience with job costing, order entry, project coordination, or customer support within a manufacturing environment preferred
Experience reading prints, drawings, customer specifications, and bills of materials
Experience with BOM review, BOM breakdown, or BOM entry
Experience with purchase orders, supplier communication, and material coordination
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
ERP system experience required; Epicor experience is a plus
CRM software experience is a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and general computer systems
Ability to coordinate with purchasing, production, quality, engineering, and customer service teams
Experience with PCB assemblies, cables, harnesses, box builds, or panel enclosures preferred but not required
Ability to manage multiple quotes, projects, orders, and priorities simultaneously
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills
Strong communication skills with customers, suppliers, vendors, and internal departments
