About the Role We are looking to fill the need for a North America Sales Executive , responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and market share. The primary function of this role is to accelerate the growth of sales of our chemical intelligence platforms (ResourceWise - Compass). This platform provides a wealth of current and historical data relevant to a wide range of chemical markets. Our expertise in chemical market data and analysis helps our clients make better‑informed decisions. The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial, hands‑on, outbound oriented, self‑starter who is energetic, persuasive, and well‑organized. This position will report to our Global Sales Manager.
What You’ll Do
Achieve consistent double digit annual net revenue growth in the chemical vertical by:
Individual sales efforts of subscription services, especially in North America for new accounts
Develop and implement segment‑specific sales strategies and plans to drive revenue growth and profitability, which include price increases, especially where we are undervalued. Expand learnings to colleagues in regular sales meetings to achieve an overall improvement in team sales performance
Collaborate with global sales manager to define and execute a North America sales plan
Collaborate with our business intelligence consultants to develop expansion strategies for Platinum accounts, based on learnings in the market
Collaborate with revenue colleagues in the chemical vertical as needed
Communicate the company's value proposition, technology, and processes effectively in industry settings and in conferences, trade shows, and trade association meetings, including public presentations.
Gather customer/market feedback and synthesize into product development recommendations and communicate customer issues internally as needed; be the voice of the chemical customer for ResourceWise operations and executive management.
Meet requirements and targets, not only in sales, but also on KPIs, outbound reach, and pipeline management.
Work closely with colleagues on cross‑territory and cross‑product opportunities, especially in Renewable Fuel and Low Carbon feedstock markets.
Qualifications
5+ years of chemicals industry experience with industry contacts within the sector (plastics, injection moldings, coatings, epoxy resins, polyester industries, etc.)
A proven track record of consultative and business‑to‑business sales with new and existing customers
Experience in the following areas: account acquisition, value‑based selling, account management, sales presentations, contract negotiation, and team leadership
Skills in relationship management and selling to senior business managers and influencers, including challenging the way customers use business intelligence
Ability to understand and communicate customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends, and competitive threats within a market
Understanding of the basic principles of the uses of business intelligence, including the use of market information to improve business performance through market segmentation and targeting, positioning, competitive analyses, and strategy
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including creating and presenting sales materials
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and other correspondence and assist with the creation of content to support marketing and public relations efforts
Growth mindset, desire to learn and get better at sales, business and industry understanding, and willingness to change approaches based on results and feedback from clients and colleagues
Ability to travel a minimum of 25% of your time to meet customers in support of business growth
Competency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with CRM systems
