Medical Assistant - Coastal HealthCoastal Health is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing team in Middleburg, Florida. This position is ideal for a team-oriented professional who is passionate about patient care and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. Position Summary The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting providers and ensuring a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, preparing patients for examinations and procedures, maintaining accurate medical records, and supporting the clinical team in delivering high-quality care. Responsibilities
Room and prepare patients for provider evaluations and procedures Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and medication information Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and office procedures Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment Document patient information accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR) system Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments Manage clinical supplies and assist with inventory control Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all patient confidentiality requirements Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required Previous experience in a medical office, orthopedic, spine, pain management, or specialty practice preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures Strong communication and patient service skills Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail Reliable, organized, and team-oriented Benefits Coastal Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
