The Intelligence Community Office of the Inspector General is searching for exceptional candidates to join us in fulfilling our mission to identify and prevent fraud, waste, abuse, and misconduct across the 18 elements of the Intelligence Community. We uphold the integrity of the IC and amplify its impact through independent oversight that demands accountability and drives excellence. IC OIG has four offices: Legal Counsel, Audits & Inspections, Investigations & Intake, and Strategy & Support. This is an excepted service position open to the public and all current federal employees at and one grade below. Current federal employees at the at and one grade below may apply to this position, and if selected will maintain pay set at their current grade and step. Current federal employees at grade levels GS-12 and below
are not eligible

How has your commitment to the Constitution and the founding principles of the United States inspired you to pursue this role within the Federal government? Provide a concrete example from professional, academic, or personal experience.
In this role, how would you use your skills and experience to improve government efficiency and effectiveness? Provide specific examples where you improved processes, reduced costs, or improved outcomes.
How would you help advance the President's Executive Orders and policy priorities in this role? Identify one or two relevant Executive Orders or policy initiatives that are significant to you and explain how you would help implement them if hired.
How has a strong work ethic contributed to your professional, academic or personal achievements? Provide one or two specific examples and explain how those qualities would enable you to serve effectively in this position.
Mandatory Requirements
Experience in cross community complex programs and making recommendations to improve products and services; considerable ability to deal with service failures and prioritize customer needs.
Demonstrated ability to balance responsibilities among project activities; ability to manage transitions effectively from task to task, adapting to varying customer needs.
Demonstrated ability to develop or implement information systems security plans and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to design and document system specifications and produce prototypes to demonstrate design.
Demonstrated ability to monitor trends in development, including the ability to assess the viability of competing technologies and recommend the adaption of emerging technologies.
Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to produce clear and logical reports.
Thorough knowledge of and experience in Intelligence Community and/or OIG mission and responsibilities.
Desired Requirements
Understanding of the business operations of IC elements and Offices of Inspector General.
Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
