Business Intelligence & Data Analyst
This position requires a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a major in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or a related field, plus two (2) years of business intelligence, database administration or applications development experience. Related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. CompTIA Data+ or Microsoft Fundamentals certification is preferred. Individuals in this position must maintain a valid State of Florida driver's license. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Productivity Applications (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, Teams) Skilled in common query languages (T-SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL) Skilled in BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Crystal Reports Working knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools and practices (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines) Working knowledge of scripting, automation, and low/no-code development tools (Power Platform, PowerShell, Python, etc.) Working knowledge of enterprise application interfaces (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, CSV) Working knowledge of database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) Working knowledge of application development using Low/No-Code platforms or traditional programming languages (Microsoft Power Apps, C#.NET, and Python) Working knowledge of database structure and design, such as relation, non-relational, OLAP, etc. Working knowledge of data protection and privacy best practices. Ability to communicate technical information clearly to business users, technical peers and vendors. Ability to work independently while adhering to governance, security, and change control standards. Ability to manage multiple concurrent requests or projects with competing priorities. Ability to distinguish between and communicate with a user, application, database, or system level event or action. Requires availability to work outside of normal business hours to meet deadlines and to respond to critical system-down situations.
