Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation – and we have a dynamic future ahead.Scope of PositionThe Applications Business Development Manager (BDM) will assist end users, contractors, and engineers with specification development, system design, and product selection assistance, and provide field technical support for Hydronic Cooling, Process Water, & HVAC applications and their associated plumbing/HVAC systems in the Commercial and Industrial market segments and Data Center, EV Battery, & Semiconductor verticals. The BDM will also provide classroom and field training to support accurate product selection, installation, and operation. This remote position requires travel and should be based near a major airport.Primary Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide day‑to‑day technical field support and troubleshooting for Hydronic Cooling, Process Water, Technical Water & HVAC applications and their associated plumbing systems in Commercial and Industrial market segments and Data Center & Semiconductor verticalsOffer technical guidance, training, and field assistance for installation, commissioning, operation, and repairSupport sales agents, end‑users, engineering firms, and contractors with product selection and the creation of technical/master specifications that include Watts products and solutionsDevelop long‑term relationships with end‑users, customers, contractors, and engineers to drive specificationsCreate and deliver classroom and hands‑on training programs for end users, contractors, engineers, and sales agents on device specification, selection, installation, use, and troubleshooting, including counter training for wholesale partnersMaintain a deep understanding of industry and local/national plumbing codes governing the selection, use, and operation of Watts products within Hydronic Cooling, Process Water, and HVAC applications and their associated plumbing/HVAC systemsAttend Industry Standards Committees, Trade Shows, and other key industry events as required to represent Watts and our productsUnderstand customer needs by market segments and the competitive landscapeProvide input to marketing, product management, and engineering to support new product development and service offeringsAdvocate for a customer‑centric mindset across the organizationEscalate delays and roadblocks to resolve conflicts before they impact execution and deliveryRecommend process improvements to enhance quality and on‑time deliveryCollaborate with the National Sales Manager and the Watts Sales team, agent network, and channel partners to strengthen Watts Water Technologies' market positionRequired Qualifications7+ years of experience in technical and field sales environments3+ years in the flow control industry with the ability to understand valve and actuation applications or equivalent fluid mechanics knowledgeWorking knowledge of hydronic cooling, process piping, HVAC & actuation valves within Commercial & Industrial plumbing, HVAC, and Industrial process industryStrong problem‑solving and creative solution skillsCustomer‑centric mindsetStrong project management skillsStrong leadership skillsDrive for resultsAdvanced negotiation and influencing skillsExcellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and communication skillsPresentation, one‑on‑one, and conference skillsTime management and the ability to work independentlyCollaborative with cross‑functional teams to achieve product line objectivesAbility to influence and interact at all organizational levelsLeadership role in development, implementation, and realization of management‑established projectsProven communication effectiveness at all levels within an organizationAbility to understand, track, drill down, and question activities and issues in all functional areasAttention to detail and follow‑throughProficiency in Microsoft Office toolsOral, written, electronic, and telecommunications skillsIntimate knowledge of people‑management skills, especially conflict resolutionTravel required: 70%General Applicable Company CompetenciesCommitment to Watts' values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparencyPunctuality and dependabilityFlexibility and ability to adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditionsAdherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by WattsMaintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employeesAdherence to Watts' seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer‑Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and Take ActionWorking ConditionsWhile performing the job duties, you will work remotely in an office environment.
