trust, connection, and context
across that data. It’s fragmented across platforms, disconnected from decisions, and difficult to activate. We’re looking for a
Data Systems Engineer
who can step into that reality and help design and build how data should actually work. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, marketing systems, activation, and business operations. You won’t be handed a blueprint—but you’re also not responsible for defining the entire enterprise architecture. You’ll make design decisions within a broader system and bring them to life through hands‑on engineering. If you prefer perfectly defined requirements and task-based work, this won’t be a fit. If you like figuring out the right way to build something—and then building it—you’ll do well here. What You’ll Do
Design + Build Data Systems
Design and implement data flows across marketing, analytics, and activation platforms Make decisions on data modeling, structure, and integration approaches in real time Own Execution with Judgment
Build pipelines and data products that support real decision-making—not just reporting Ensure data is usable, trusted, and actionable across teams and platforms Work from imperfect requirements and help shape better ones Connect Data to Action
Enable use cases like segmentation, personalization, and campaign execution and reporting Ensure data is not just available—but usable and trusted across teams Support operational data flows, not just analytics and dashboards Operate in Real Environments
Work across platforms like Salesforce, Marketo, Adobe, Snowflake, Databricks, and web analytics tools Participate in technical workshops and client working sessions Explain technical concepts and tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders Navigate incomplete requirements, shifting priorities, and complex system landscapes Bring clarity and momentum to environments where ownership and processes may still be evolving How You’ll Show Up

Experience designing and building data pipelines and operational data systems Strong SQL and data modeling skills with the ability to work through real‑world complexity Hands‑on experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or similar technologies Ability to translate business problems into scalable technical solutions Experience making practical engineering decisions in environments with incomplete requirements Bonus Points
Experience with marketing or customer data ecosystems (Salesforce, Marketo, etc.) Exposure to activation layers (reverse ETL, CDPs, audience creation) Experience in consulting or client‑facing environments Success Looks Like
You design and build systems that teams trust and use Data flows support decisions, execution, and measurable business outcomes You bring structure and clarity to messy environments quickly You make strong design decisions and execute them effectively You help clients operationalize customer data in ways that improve speed, alignment, and activation You move work forward without needing perfect requirements or excessive oversight Why This Role is Different
