*Job Description*
We are urgently hiring a Big Data Developer / Big Data Engineer with strong experience in *Scala, Java, or Python*. You will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and distributed data systems in a fast-paced environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in software development and data engineering, especially within large-scale data environments.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Develop and maintain Big Data applications using Scala
* Build, optimize, and manage ETL pipelines and data workflows
* Work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
* Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
*Required Skills*
* 2–4 years of experience as a Big Data Developer / Data Engineer / Software Engineer
* Strong programming skills in Scala, Java, or Python
* Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts
* Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
* Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Education*
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
Candidates from Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering backgrounds may be considered with 3 year relevant experience.
*Additional Requirements*
* Must be based in the UK with valid work authorization
* Willingness to travel within the UK required
Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods are highly preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
