The Opportunity
We are collaborating with multiple companies in East Lansing seeking experienced Warehouse Managers. These organizations value long-term fit and are looking for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of raw materials and finished goods.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Manage and develop a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and space utilization.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure seamless material flow and on-time delivery.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to reconcile inventory and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage equipment maintenance and procurement to ensure operational readiness and safety.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in warehouse management within a manufacturing environment
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing principles, inventory management (e.g., FIFO, cycle counting), and warehouse optimization
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse personnel
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for warehouse operations
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize warehouse automation solutions.
- Certification in Inventory Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
