This role blends outside sales, business development, and account management for fire alarm, access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, and smart-building technologies. If you excel in B2B sales, enjoy meeting with contractors and commercial clients, and want a market with enormous growth potential, this position is for you.
*Duties*
* Develop and execute sales strategies to drive new business in the Dickinson region. * Build and grow relationships with existing accounts acquired through our recent expansion. * Conduct onsite product demos and technical sales presentations for fire and security systems. * Generate leads through cold calling, networking, jobsite visits, and local partnerships. * Manage the territory proactively by planning customer visits, tracking activities, and monitoring market trends. * Negotiate contracts and close sales opportunities while maintaining high customer satisfaction. * Collaborate with leadership on marketing campaigns, pricing strategies, and solution positioning. * Use CRM tools (Salesforce, ConnectWise or similar) to log activities, manage pipeline, and track opportunities. * Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering tailored system solutions. * Maintain strong knowledge of fire alarm, intrusion, access control, and video surveillance products.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or technical product sales (security, low-voltage, technology, Data Centers or construction industries preferred). * Strong ability to build new business while managing and expanding existing accounts. * Demonstrated success in territory management, lead generation, and direct sales. * Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical features into customer value. * Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, ConnectWise, or similar). * Comfortable giving presentations, demos, and engaging decision-makers in commercial environments. * Ability to work independently and self-manage while staying connected with a supportive team. * Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the Dickinson/Western ND region. * Background in marketing, retail, or customer-facing roles is a plus — strong customer service orientation is essential.
