Position Summary Magellan Aerospace, New York has an exciting new opportunity for an IT Support Analyst (Temp). Our commitment to excellence drives our need for a talented and motivated Jr. IT Support Analyst to join our IT team. This unique entry‑level opportunity involves primarily providing essential help desk support, ensuring employees have the technical assistance they need, while also gaining valuable exposure to fundamental cybersecurity operations. This role is ideal for a quick learner, a great communicator, and someone eager to grow in both IT support and security. This is a temporary position expected to last approximately six months, with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance. The pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour. Responsibilities Provide friendly and efficient first‑line technical support to end‑users for hardware, software, and network‑related issues via phone, email, and in‑person. Perform troubleshooting, diagnose problems, and implement solutions for common IT issues like password resets, software installations, and connectivity problems. Assist with the full lifecycle of employee IT needs, including onboarding new hires by setting up accounts and equipment, and offboarding by deactivating accounts and retrieving assets. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all support interactions and resolutions within the ticketing system. Participate in basic cybersecurity tasks, such as monitoring security alerts, assisting with vulnerability scans, and supporting internal security awareness campaigns. Help enforce IT security policies and contribute to maintaining a secure IT environment. Collaborate with senior IT and cybersecurity team members to elevate complex issues and continuously improve support processes. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field. Demonstrated strong problem‑solving skills and a genuine enthusiasm for technology. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer‑service oriented approach. Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common applications (e.g., Microsoft Office suite). A foundational awareness of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., phishing, malware, data privacy) is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. A proactive attitude and a strong desire for continuous learning and professional development in IT and cybersecurity. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
