Location: Santa Clara, California Type of Hire: CWR Responsibilities: This is a contract to position to fill a new/emerging need on the EH Portfolio and Project Management Office (PPMO) team. The primary responsibilities will be to (1) document and improve EH's annual project planning and funding process and (2) coordinate EH engagement and readiness in Oracle ERP project. This role will facilitate teams, lead process improvement sessions, create or oversee the creation of process and project documentation, visualizations and dashboards using any one of a number of tools including Planview Pro PPM, NetSuite ERP, Access/Excel, Oracle ERP, and others as needed. With general guidance and coaching, provides analytical support to a specific group of customers on business applications, infrastructure, and technology-related activities Acts as a project team member, specifically on requirements definition and testing activities Provides guidance, assistance, coordination, and follow-up on complex problems and ensures resolution Assists customers on their migration to new or revised products, applications, and platforms Works with application developers and operations personnel to support production applications and customer-specific operations 1. Document and improve annual project planning and funding process: Coordinate with a core team to establish planning governance team structure, roles, and responsibilities, meeting cadence, meeting templates Coordinate with PMO, Finance, Risk/Capital, Strategy and IT to establish data flows, data system configurations and integrations, and education materials supporting the emerging processes Develop or coordinate the development of annual project planning and funding documentation and deliverables 2. Coordinate Emerging Markets engagement and readiness in Oracle ERP project: Coordinate with a core team to establish detailed and summary project tracking and reporting for Emerging Markets Oracle ERP go-live preparations and readiness Serve as workgroup lead for Emerging Markets Project Finance module implementation team Participate in ERP deployment planning meetings with specific focus on Project Finance module implementation Develop or coordinate the development of ERP project documentation and deliverables Coordinate with PMO, Finance, Risk/Capital, Strategy and IT to establish data flows, data system configurations and integrations, and education materials supporting the Project Finance and related processes Qualifications: Effective at facilitating groups to define how the software/solution will be used, what processes need to be developed, what roles and responsibilities will be assigned to make those processes and those data flows effectively Comfortable and effective at leading business process engineering, process improvement sessions, documenting emerging processes, validating process outcomes Proficient in software/solution BA duties as described in Business Analyst III Position Description dated 3/2016 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required Strong work ethic and teamwork skills are required. Strong MS Office skills, specifically, Visio, excel, ppt, PowerBI and SharePoint Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently on deliverables when necessary Ability to proactively anticipate needs, identify and recommend alternative solutions or options Willingness to learn new tools and skills quickly Natural curiosity and a strong desire to solve problems quickly Ability to quickly come up-to-speed in a new environment and/or industry Detail-oriented, documentation and data-driven Experience in Lean / Process Improvement / Business Process Engineering preferred Experience within Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations highly preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or related field Combinations of relevant education, certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Continuous learning, as defined by the Company's learning philosophy, is required. Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged. Experience: Five years of progressive responsibility in an IT or business environment with demonstrated technical knowledge which provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities Experience within the insurance industry highly preferred Significant creativity is required.
