Manager in Training (MIT) - Field Sales Manager
Overview Charlotte, United States | Posted on 06/19/2026
Company: Groovy Home and Property Services (GHPS)
Location: Charlotte, NC / Rock Hill, SC Area (Field and Office Based)
Groovy Home and Property Services (GHPS) is a dynamic and growing home concierge service focused on simplifying homeownership and property management throughout the Carolinas. We offer a comprehensive suite of services spanning Home, Property, Commercial, Personal Finance, and Personal Luxury categories, acting as a trusted "one-stop shop" for our clients. We are building a professional organization based on integrity, customer‑centricity, and providing opportunities for great people to deliver Best in Class results.
We are seeking exceptional, driven individuals for our Manager in Training (MIT) program.
Position Overview We are hiring Field Sales Managers in Training (MIT) to lead our high‑velocity revenue teams. This 100% performance‑based leadership role is a management training position. Sales managers in training are expected to learn and build a sales department while closing high‑ticket deals. The MIT will act as a concierge to home and property owners.
In this role, you’ll start by mastering the GHPS concierge pitch and lead generation, then transition into identifying and closing larger opportunities such as renovations and investment deals. We provide the leads and will pay for your real estate license or other professional certifications to help you scale your division.
The MIT program is NOT an entry‑level position. It's a demanding, fast‑track developmental role designed for individuals with proven sales experience ready to be groomed for significant leadership roles within GHPS.
Comprehensive Training: You will master all facets of the GHPS field operation. This includes being trained hands‑on as a lead generator (Junior Concierge), closer (Concierge/Senior Concierge), and project manager. You must learn, perform, and ultimately be able to teach the entire sales and project lifecycle. (Note: We are not currently hiring for the standalone, entry‑level Junior Concierge position. As an MIT, you will rotate through that role as part of your training, but you must already bring proven, commission‑based sales experience to qualify for this program.)
Leadership Development: You'll receive extensive training in leadership strategy, team management, coaching, recruiting, performance management, operational processes, financial acumen, and leveraging technology (CRM/GHL, Zoho suite, AI tools).
Career Trajectory: The goal is to prepare you to run your own GHPS sales office/team. Successful MITs rapidly advance to Field Sales Manager, with further potential paths into Operations, Customer Experience, Service Line leadership, or specialized technical/licensed roles (GC, EC, Real Estate, Solar, etc.).
Compensation, Freedom & Lifestyle Structure: This is a 1099 Independent Contractor, commission‑only role. There is no base salary. Your earnings are directly tied to your performance and the results you generate.
Immediate Pay Opportunities: Structure includes pay per appointment set, optional recoverable training draws, M1 payments for solar deals, and various weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual performance bonuses (product, referral, review, social media, top performer awards).
Uncapped Earning Potential: This performance-driven model offers significant earning potential, with top performers in leadership roles often exceeding $150k+ annually based on results. Managers also have override and profit‑share opportunities.
Lifestyle: This role offers the freedom, control, and responsibility of managing your own success within the supportive GHPS framework. It is an exciting, fast‑paced environment for entrepreneurial‑minded individuals.
Leadership & Management Development Participate actively in comprehensive training covering expert sales strategy, leadership principles, effective team management, goal setting, planning, team finance basics, time management, recruiting best practices, HR/records management, operational workflows, customer experience standards, and team technology/communications.
Sales Team Leadership Practice Learn and apply techniques to effectively lead, motivate, coach, and sustain sales performance within a field sales environment.
Mentorship & Training Assistance Assist experienced managers in the training, coaching, and mentoring of field sales team members (potentially including Junior Concierges, Car Captains, and Concierges).
Process Mastery Develop and demonstrate a deep, end‑to‑end understanding of GHPS's full range of services, the entire sales process (from lead generation to closing), customer relationship management standards, and the project lifecycle. Must achieve proficiency to potentially teach these processes.
Performance Management Learning Learn to set clear expectations, track individual and team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), analyze performance data, and effectively manage team sales goals.
Team Building Experience Gain practical experience by participating in the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding process for new team members.
Operational & Financial Acumen Develop proficiency in understanding team resource management, operational logistics, and relevant financial aspects impacting team performance.
Field Immersion & Execution Spend required time in the field to gain firsthand understanding of daily activities, challenges, and successes of field sales roles. Actively participate in field sales activities, including potential door‑to‑door canvassing or cold calling, to maintain market connection and lead by example.
Culture Contribution Actively contribute to fostering GHPS's positive, collaborative, professional, and high‑achieving team culture.
Potential Area Specialization Opportunity to learn and potentially specialize in key GHPS business areas (Operations, Customer Experience, specific Service Lines) based on aptitude and company needs as part of diverse career tracks.
Requirements Mandatory: Proven prior experience in a direct sales role is required.
Mandatory: Experience selling OR leading teams in a commission‑based environment.
Immediate Hire Must: Specific experience in Customer Experience AND Field Sales within Home Improvement, Solar, Real Estate, or similar high‑ticket B2C/D2D industries.
