Job Description
As a Armed Security Officer - Part Time in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a busy retail and mall location, helping to create a welcoming environment through a visible presence, strong communication, and responsive support. This armed post offers the chance to handle security-related concerns, assist guests and staff, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that values agility, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.22 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeWed07:00 AM - 03:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout storefronts, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help document suspicious behavior, enforce access and property rules, and report policy violations or hazards to site management.
- Prepare clear reports on incidents, patrol activity, and daily observations, and communicate relevant information with Allied Universal leadership and/or the client representative.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree, is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
