Thomson Reuters Special Services (TRSS) is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer to deliver high‑quality client solutions. Responsibilities Understand system components and how they interact, and perform or automate different types of testing – functional, system, regression, acceptance. Create and execute test plans. Identify and implement test scenarios ideal for automation. Create and maintain testing environments, data, and test suites. Perform manual and automated testing, with an eye toward automating as much as possible. Work iteratively with the development team to test and release within designated cycles. Analyze test results to ensure correct functionality, create bug reports with reproducible steps, and collaborate with the team for defect resolution. Maintain test artifacts and evidence. Communicate daily progress, issues, risks, and quality metrics. Qualifications Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance. Professional experience with both automated and manual testing. Experience with automation techniques, frameworks, creating automation strategies, and test‑driven script development. Hands‑on experience with Python. Experience working in an agile development environment. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Highly motivated and able to quickly learn multiple applications. Ability to communicate with business and technical stakeholders to understand new requirements and resolve issues. Capability to achieve results under changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. U.S. security clearance (to be obtained) and U.S. citizenship. Compensation and Location Base compensation ranges vary by location: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC – $94,000USD to $175,000USD. Other eligible U.S. locations – $82,000USD to $152,200USD.
