Job Description Leidos is looking for a talented Microsoft SQL Database Administrator to join our team at the National Maritime Intelligence Center in Suitland, MD. If you hold an active DoD TS/SCI clearance and thrive on solving complex challenges, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, manage, and optimize advanced Microsoft SQL database systems.
Diagnose and resolve complex database issues with precision.
Implement and maintain security policies, conduct vulnerability analyses, and develop system documentation.
Partner with network, system, and database administrators to achieve mission‑critical objectives.
Keep systems secure and current through patches, upgrades, and proactive maintenance.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot problems, and enhance reliability to ensure maximum availability.
Lead re‑accreditation efforts, including DISA STIG reviews, system upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
Communicate effectively across diverse teams, bridging technical and non‑technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years. Equivalent training, certifications, or hands‑on experience may substitute for a degree.
Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in SQL Database Administration (SQL 2012 or newer) and Microsoft Server environments (2012 or newer).
Strong skills in performance monitoring and tuning, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customers and colleagues.
Pay Range Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
