Salary Range: $83,000 - $123,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in St. Johns that are seeking skilled Purchasing Managers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost and quality.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with key suppliers.
  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering to forecast material needs.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record of cost savings and supplier relationship management
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and purchasing software
  • C.P.M. or CPSM certification preferred
