Position Description: Job Title: Business Analyst / Data Analyst Position Summary The Business Analyst/Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing data and producing a variety of reports using SQL, Microsoft Office, and Tableau. This role works closely with the Agency's leadership team to understand organizational goals and develops visualizations and presentations that translate data into actionable insights supporting financial and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Produce annual report exhibits and data visualizations, and maintain various data books, statistical reports, projections, and forecast analyses using multiple databases. Prepare and analyze cost report information for nursing homes, hospitals, and other providers, generating comparative reports to assess profitability and financial solvency. Develop short-term and long-term forecasting models, incorporating significant variables that influence outcomes. Facilitate data integration from financial systems, claims systems, eligibility systems, and third-party data sources into ad hoc and standardized agency reports. Deliver accurate reports in a timely manner to fulfill all SharePoint-based reporting requests. Required Skills and Tools: 3-5 years of experience Proficiency in SQL Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools Strong analytical, reporting, and data modeling skills Ability to communicate complex data effectively to leadership and stakeholders Resumes Forwarded: As they are received Contract Type: Contract Contract Length: 9/30/26 with extension possible **** ****: *** Max # of Submissions: 2 Submission Timeline: 5/15 5pm ct Interview Types: Video/In person based on location Interview Timeline: As resumes are reviewed Background Requirements: ALEA Check Target Start Date: 6/1/26 Submittals must include: Resume, RTR, and Cover letter Candidate will work 100% in Montgomery AL Main Office No remote work allowed Submittals must be from a prime supplier. Suppliers can use only one (1) level of sub-vendor candidates for submittal if necessary. This role does not offer sponsorship Confirmation needed if candidate is eligible for conversion to Merit. The assignment is currently budgeted for the current fiscal year. Position has the possibility of extending into the next fiscal year. No expense reimbursements will be approved
