The WISe Clinical Supervisor provides clinical oversight, direct supervision to all WISe therapists, and program leadership for the Vancouver WISE team. This role is the primary clinical authority for the WISE program, ensuring that therapy services are delivered with fidelity to the WISE model and in alignment with Akin's mission, vision, and values. The WISE Clinical Supervisor is accountable for the clinical quality, professional development, and performance of all WISE therapists, while also ensuring the Vancouver program meets program fidelity standards, service intensity benchmarks, enrollment targets, and utilization requirements as set by contract and regulatory obligations.
This position reports to and works in close partnership with the WISE Program Director. The WISE Clinical Supervisor may also provide direct clinical care to clients as needed, including screening, intake, crisis management, assessment, and treatment.
This position has access to protected healthcare information (PHI) and confidential identifiable information (CII), both paper and electronic, as required to perform related job duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide regular individual and group clinical supervision to all WISE therapists in alignment with licensure requirements and WISE model standards
- Use reflective, strengths-based supervision to support therapist growth, wellbeing, and quality care delivery
- Support clinical staff in reaching professional development goals and accruing licensure hours
- Conduct performance evaluations and deliver timely, constructive feedback; manage performance concerns through coaching and corrective action as needed
- Partner with the WISE Director on therapist hiring, onboarding, and team development
- Cultivate an inclusive, psychologically safe team culture that honors diverse identities, perspectives, and lived experiences
- Oversee clinical programming quality on both a scheduled and emergent basis
- Ensure therapy services reflect best practices and WISE model fidelity through regular case consultation, record reviews, and documentation audits
- Consult with clinical staff on complex assessment and diagnostic questions
- Champion youth and family voice and choice across care plans and service delivery
- Ensure the Vancouver WISE program meets fidelity, service intensity, enrollment, and utilization benchmarks per model standards and state contract requirements
- Track program metrics, identify gaps or trends, and escalate concerns to the WISE Program Director
- Drive continuous improvement when benchmarks are at risk, implementing workflow adjustments and corrective actions
- Contribute to program evaluation and reporting as directed
- Monitor team performance against productivity standards, fidelity measures, and contract requirements
- Reinforce SOPs and program standards across the team, ensuring consistent, compliant service delivery
- Maintain accurate records and reporting in accordance with contract requirements
- Serve as a member of the WISE program leadership team, contributing to site-level strategy and goal setting
- Build and sustain relationships with community partners and system stakeholders to support wraparound service delivery
- Facilitate cross-agency communication and coordination to improve family access and integrated care
- Participate in rotating after-hours on-call, providing clinical consultation and supervisory support outside regular business hours
- Support staff through crisis response, including safety planning and crisis management consultation
- May provide direct clinical care in crisis situations, including screening, intake, assessment, and treatment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of child, adolescent, and family development, and strong understanding of the WISE model and wraparound practice principles
- Understanding of various treatment principles, evidence-based interventions, and trauma-informed approaches for children, youth, and families
- Skill in complex clinical assessment and diagnosis, including experience with co-occurring disorders, crisis intervention, and safety planning
- Understanding of the provision of services to diverse socioeconomic and cultural populations, including those with complex needs
- Strong data literacy ability to read program metrics, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable quality improvements
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams with diverse identities and backgrounds, including implementing inclusive practices across recruitment, supervision, and service delivery
- Working knowledge of the principles of accessibility, inclusion, and belonging, with a track record of incorporating these values into decision-making and team development
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

HYBRID WORK ARRANGEMENTS:
Hybrid work is a benefit of Akin's flexible workplace but cannot be offered for all positions. Some positions require daily presence in the office. Hybrid work arrangements may be adjusted or rescinded based upon business needs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard; occasionally to reach, stoop and kneel
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in the behavioral sciences or RN licensed in the state of Washington and a minimum of three years of experience in a mental health arena. Licensure as a mental health counselor, social work, or marriage and family therapist in the state of Washington.
- May require additional training on one or more specialized clinical areas: including but not limited to sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence, co-occurring disorders, chemical dependency, etc.
- Requires Department of Health License in one of the following: Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Mental Health Counselor
- Proof of CPR and First Aid Certification is required within 30 days
- A one-step Mantoux TB skin test prior to start of employment. For those who have previously tested positive, documented proof of treatment from a doctor or a negative chest x-ray must be provided
- HIV/AIDS and blood borne pathogens training is required within 30 days
- A valid driver's license and a favorable driving record, with no more than three violations within the past three years
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Approved supervisor for mental health counselors in the state of Washington
- Experience with WISE or other wraparound program models and knowledge of WISE fidelity standards
- Demonstrated experience tracking and meeting program metrics including enrollment, utilization, and service intensity benchmarks
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive pay, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position.
The target starting pay for this position is $71,669.52 - $85,995.52, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant's pay history into account.
The range above allows our employees room for growth during their tenure in the position.
