Assistant Store Manager

Dollar Express is the newest entrant in the dollar store segment of the retail industry. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Dollar Express operates 330 stores in 36 states.

As a Dollar Express Assistant Store Manager you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. A key priority includes assisting the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store. Under the direction of the Store Manager, you will also be responsible for maintaining inventories, store appearance and completing daily paperwork.

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and assisting customers in a positive, approachable manner.
  • Answering questions and resolving customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintaining a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
  • Ensuring a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
  • Supervising, training, and developing Store Team Members on Dollar Express operating practices and procedures.
  • Assisting in unloading all merchandise from delivery truck, organizing merchandise, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
  • Assisting Store Manager in ordering merchandise and record keeping to include payroll, scheduling and cash register deposits and receipts.
  • Supporting Store Manager in loss prevention efforts.
  • Assuming certain management responsibilities in absence of Store Manager.
  • Following all Company policies and procedures.
