The team' core role is to 'bring new ideas to life' and translate emerging technologies into operational military capability! In this role, you'll be part of a highly collaborative Systems team that bridges cutting-edge technology, system design, and strategic delivery turning bold ideas into real-world defence solutions. You'll work alongside technology specialists, programme leaders, and business stakeholders within the sector, helping bring advanced RF and low observable (LO) concepts to life for customers and decision-makers alike. Whether you're embedded in a multidisciplinary team or leading your own work package, you'll have real ownership and visibility of your work-contributing directly to future capabilities. What you'll be doing: Shape future concepts - Lead early-stage investigations, exploring 'what if', 'when', and 'how' scenarios to define viable system solutions Drive system design - Develop system, sub-system, and equipment-level requirements, ensuring performance meets ambitious goals Influence key decisions - Conduct trade studies, resolve design challenges, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders Deliver end-to-end systems engineering - Work across the full V-model, supporting verification, trials, and evidence-based validation Collaborate across boundaries - Partner with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver concept demonstrations and breakthrough capabilities What we're looking for: You don't need to tick every box-but experience in any of the following will help you stand out: Systems engineering, particularly in architecture, requirements, and lifecycle delivery Tools such as DOORS, DOORS Next, or Rhapsody Trade studies, problem-solving, and resolving complex design challenges Ability to work independently or within small, high-performing teams in fast-paced environments Even If you feel like you don't meet every requirement, we encourage you to reach out and apply.
