REOPENED AS OF 06/16/2025 WE COVER MAINE ATHLETIC TRAINING STATE LICENSING FEES & MANDATORY CEU EDUCATION EXPENSES University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) is seeking to hire an Athletic Trainer. The Athletic Trainer encompasses the clinical tasks routinely performed by athletic trainers which are organized according to the five domain areas established by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (I – Injury/illness prevention and wellness protection; II – Clinical evaluation and diagnosis; III – Immediate and emergency care; IV – Treatment and rehabilitation; V – Organizational and professional health and wellbeing). The selected candidate will provide athletic training coverage for the UMPI athletic teams during clinic hours, practices, and games. This is a 12-month on-going position. Ability to work independent and act quickly in potential stressful situations
Ability to work with diverse populations
Qualifications: Required:
BOC-certified
Maine Licensure as an Athletic Trainer
BLS for health care providers (CPR & AED) certification
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in athletic training
Experience in athletic training
Preferred:
Master’s Degree
Athletic training experience in collegiate athletics or 3+ years of athletic training experience
