Automated Tester Role - Electronic Exchange
Location: Lower Manhattan (Hybrid, 3 days a week)
Compensation: Up to $200,000 base + Discretionary Bonus
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Automated Tester to join our dynamic team at a leading electronic exchange. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, SQL, and JUnit, and a keen interest in trading and cryptocurrencies is a significant advantage. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and executing our extensive suite of 35,000 acceptance tests every 25 minutes to ensure the integrity and performance of our trading platform.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, SQL, and JUnit.
Acceptance Testing: Execute and monitor a high volume of acceptance tests (35,000 tests every 25 minutes) to validate system functionality and performance.
Test Case Management: Create, manage, and update test cases based on product requirements and enhancements.
Defect Tracking: Identify, report, and track bugs and defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to ensure the system can handle high volumes of transactions efficiently.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve the test automation framework and testing processes to increase efficiency and coverage.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Requirements
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Java programming.
Strong SQL skills for database validation and testing.
Experience with JUnit or similar testing frameworks.
Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks.
Experience:
Proven experience in automated testing, preferably in a high-frequency trading environment.
Experience with performance testing and tools.
Knowledge:
Understanding of trading systems and electronic exchanges.
Interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology is a bonus.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Detail‑oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
Additional Information
Work Schedule: Hybrid work model with 3 days a week in our Lower Manhattan office.
Compensation: Competitive base salary up to $200,000 with a discretionary bonus based on performance.
