DevSecOps Software Engineer II – onsite, U.S. citizen required (secret DoD clearance). Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Salary range: $68,900 - $131,100 USD (est). Overview
Join Collins Aerospace Resilient Connectivity Products (RCP) Engineering to develop DevSecOps pipelines for on‑prem embedded systems for military communications. The role supports UAVs, fighter jets, aircraft carriers, and ground vehicles, focusing on advanced satellite communications, cryptography, and embedded computing. Responsibilities
Create and maintain DevSecOps pipelines for on‑prem embedded applications. Integrate tooling, apps, and scripts into the development pipeline. Participate in technology selection to enable automation and increase flow. Develop applications and scripts to support integration and flow of software updates. Maintain frameworks to automate testing, deployment, and delivery of software. Work in an Agile (SAFe) environment. Qualifications – Must Have
Git tooling experience (BitBucket, GitLab, GitHub, or similar). CI/CD tooling experience (Bamboo, Jenkins, or similar). Programming in bash and python. Linux development environment experience. Active U.S. government‑issued security clearance (must be transferable). Typically requires a university degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree. Preferred Qualifications
Full lifecycle software development practices and configuration management tools. Experience deploying containers (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or similar). Integration with RESTful APIs. Software artifact storage (JFrog Artifactory or similar). Configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar). Experience with C, C++, Java. Embedded multi-threaded application development. Agile team experience. Consistently delivering high‑quality results and meeting milestones. What We Offer
