You'll be based onsite in Miami, owning the design and development of core backend and platform systems that power performance, reliability, and scale. You'll work primarily across a modern backend: Python/FastAPI services, LLM integrations, data infrastructure, and cloud environments, while helping set the engineering standard as the team grows.
This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving hard backend and AI infrastructure problems, and wants clear progression.
The Person:
* Strong backend engineering experience with Python (FastAPI a plus) * Experience working with or integrating LLMs / AI systems * Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and data modeling * Strong focus on testing, performance, and reliability * Experience scaling backend systems in high-growth environments * Looking to join a high-performance, ambitious engineering environment
The Role:
* Design and build core backend systems powering LLM and AI platform performance * Develop scalable Python / FastAPI services * Own and evolve the data layer (PostgreSQL / Supabase) * Work within a high-calibre, AI-obsessed engineering team * Venture-backed start-up with product-market fit, approaching Series C Fully onsite in Miami - Modern, open plan office in a great location!
