The North American Specialist team is made up of deep domain experts who work directly with our customers to solve their most complex challenges. We are part of the Account Team, responsible for account planning, opportunity identification, and pursuit. We stay closely connected to our customers and bring valuable data and insights to our product teams, strengthening the product roadmap. Our team is at its best when a customer is thinking big and needs specialized experience to innovate for their business.
Job Responsibilities
Accelerate customer adoption by defining and implementing technology-domain specific go‑to‑market strategies within assigned accounts.
Ideate with line‑of‑business and C‑suite leaders, building trust through deep technical expertise and following through to solve their most compelling business problems.
Act as the front line within accounts for all specialist customer engagement in the assigned technology domain.
Create and articulate compelling value propositions that address specific needs of customers.
Build and innovate: co‑develop GTM motions on new product launches and work with product teams to create innovative new services.
Partner with system integrators to deliver on customer projects.
Educate customers on the “art of the possible” success stories and AWS enablers, including Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, Amazon EMR, AWS Glue, AWS Lake Formation, AWS SageMaker Studio, Amazon Kinesis and MSK, and Amazon OpenSearch.
Help customers understand how the analytics foundation enables AI and ML solutions using Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, and other AWS AI services to drive business transformation.
Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory.
Meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
Develop and execute a comprehensive account/territory plan.
Develop working‑backwards analytics visions, including business case and financial justification.
Accelerate customer adoption of Amazon analytics services and create compelling value propositions around them.
Maintain a robust sales pipeline using sales force automation tools and best practices.
Work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption.
Develop long‑term strategic relationships with key accounts.
Ensure customer satisfaction.
Expect moderate travel.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
10+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience.
10+ years of technology‑related sales, business development, or equivalent experience.
Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting.
5+ years of technology sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS technologies.

Compensation and Benefits Base salary ranges:
USA, AZ, TEMPE – $170,000.00–$230,000.00 USD annually
USA, CA, Irvine – $170,000.00–$230,000.00 USD annually
USA, CA, San Francisco – $187,000.00–$252,900.00 USD annually
USA, CO, Denver – $170,000.00–$230,000.00 USD annually
Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
