Provide radiology coverage for hospital emergencies, stroke imaging, and IR procedures Perform lumbar punctures, biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, and abscess drainages Conduct contrast-enhanced CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies in outpatient settings Support ER, ICU, and inpatient imaging needs with urgent and scheduled exams Collaborate with radiology technologists and nursing staff using Cerner EMR Ensure timely, quality interpretation of diagnostic images in a busy hospital setting What You Need
Active CA medical license and DEA registration At least 2 years of IR and acute care radiology experience Proven skills in procedural and diagnostic imaging, including stroke CT interpretations Ability to work independently in an emergency setting Strong collaboration and communication skills About the Assignment This position involves providing dedicated radiology support at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, a general acute care facility with stroke certification. The role includes both hospital-based procedures and outpatient imaging, with a focus on IR interventions and emergency imaging needs. The workflow supports a large volume of diverse cases, emphasizing procedural expertise and responsiveness.
