Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Role in Locust Grove, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer at a resort location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.16 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while documenting details and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout resort-style properties, lodges, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and support property rules regarding restricted areas, after-hours entry, and/or special events.
  • Assist with de-escalation, report writing, and coordination with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when situations require additional support.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
