divh2Assistant Store Manager/h2pThe Assistant Store Manager is a leadership pipeline role designed to develop the next generation of Bakery Operations Managers. ASMs are expected to operate at near-BOM level, executing bakery operations with urgency, accuracy, and accountability while building the leadership skills needed to run a bakery independently./ppThis role blends hands-on operational excellence with talent development, administrative ownership, and team leadership. ABOMs act as a true extension of the BOM and must be capable of stepping into full bakery ownership when needed. Our Albuquerque, NM store is located at 2132 Central Ave SE, Albuquerque NM 87106./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3pOperational Execution/ppExecute all core bakery operations including inventory rotation, scheduling support, staffing coordination, and administrative checklists/ppMaintain strict adherence to product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience standards/ppSupport ordering, inventory accuracy, and shrink control/ppAssist in schedule creation and labor execution to meet operational targets/ppTalent Team Development/ppSupport recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new staff/ppDeliver consistent coaching and real-time performance feedback/ppHold team members accountable to standards while reinforcing a growth mindset culture/ppEnsure onboarding and training programs are executed to company standards/ppLeadership Ownership/ppManage bakery operations independently in the absence of the BOM/ppModel urgency, accountability, and operational discipline/ppPartner with BOM and Area leadership to identify operational gaps and implement solutions/ppMaintain continuity of operations during leadership transitions or staffing shortages/ppOther duties as assigned/ph3What Success Looks Like/h3pAble to independently execute all BOM-level administrative and operational tasks/ppBakery is fully staffed, trained, and operating at high standards/ppStrong culture of accountability and consistency/ppActs as a reliable operational leader during any coverage scenario/ppDemonstrates clear readiness and upward mobility toward a BOM role/ph3Qualifications Experience/h3p1+ year leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations/ppStrong operational discipline and attention to detail/ppAbility to coach and develop hourly team members/ppComfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments/ppAbility to perform all bakery roles during peak business periods/ppStrong communication and problem-solving skills/ph3Sweet Position Perks/h3pCompetitive pay + bonus eligibility/ppMedical, dental, vision pet insurance/ppPaid vacation + wellness days/ppCareer development pipeline into BOM leadership/ppFree cookies every shift/ppFun, fast-paced team culture/ppAbout us:/ppInsomnia Cookies was founded in a college dorm room by then-student, Seth Berkowitz.
