Electrophysiology Lead An Invasive Cardiology Lead directs the daily workflow and assists the Department Supervisor, Manager, and/or Director. Efficiently and accurately monitors the daily operations of patient and staff workflow to ensure high-quality care. Qualifications:
Education/Training: Associate's degree required from an accredited school from one of the following: Nursing, Cardiovascular Technology, Cardiopulmonary Technology, Radiologic Technology Licensure/Certification: Must maintain licensure/certification/registry in the specific specialty. Current nursing license in the State of Florida renewed every two years; or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) renewed every three years; or Certification as a Rad Tech (RTR) renewed yearly BLS/Health Care Provider certification required. ACLS certification required.
Experience: Two (2) years of cath lab experience Responsibilities:
Directs and assists with the daily workflow to include patient flow, supply ordering, staffing assignments, and resolution of customer services issues. Leads the work of the Technologists/Registered Nurses and Support staff to ensure compliance with protocols and procedures. Leads the process in daily operational problem resolution. Functions at a supervisory level in the absence of the Supervisor/Manager/Director of cath lab when requested. Participates in supervising, training, and orienting new team members. Communicates with the Medical Director to maintain and improve patient procedural operations and development. Communicates and interacts closely with the scheduling department/physicians to ensure optimum patient/staff flow and resolve patient care issues. Maintains a cooperative working environment in the department and reports any personnel inadequacies in skill, knowledge, or behavior. Maintains radiation safety records of personnel. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Practices efficient use and selection of supplies and equipment. Ensures that all regulatory standards are met or exceeded. Performs Performance Improvement (PI) initiatives, and process flow changes as directed. Establishes and productively assesses staffing patterns that support excellent customer service. Assists in clerical duties, such as, but not limited to, printing reports, scanning documents, and scheduling of patients. Administers medical aid as required for any emergency. Maintains cleanliness and organization of department. Works with vendors and Clinical Engineering to schedule equipment downtime for preventive maintenance and repairs and reports any equipment issues promptly. May assist with maintaining the department's timekeeping using Orlando Health's timekeeping system. Performs all other duties as directed as necessary to assure quality customer satisfaction.
