Job Description
Job Description Description: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mobile Mechanic to perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment in the field. The ideal candidate will have strong technical experience in heavy-duty systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently at customer sites or roadside locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Perform diagnostic inspections and repairs on Class 6–8 trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment at job sites or roadside. Service and repair engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, hydraulics, air systems, electrical systems, suspensions, and DEF systems. Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all repairs meet FMCSA and OEM standards. Troubleshoot using diagnostic software (e.g., Cummins Insite, Detroit, CAT ET, Bendix ACom). Perform preventive maintenance and maintain accurate records of all work performed. Maintain an organized service truck, ensuring tools, diagnostic equipment, and parts are stocked and ready. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers on estimated repair times and cost. Uphold safety standards and adhere to OSHA and DOT regulations. Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally in the field. All other duties assigned by Supervisor
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or ASE certification preferred. 5+ years’ experience as a diesel technician or heavy-duty mechanic (mobile experience preferred). Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software (Cummins, CAT, Detroit, etc.). Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (CDL preferred). Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions. Excellent communication and time management skills.
Offers of employment are contingent upon the results of successfully passing a background screening including a criminal background check, a review of motor vehicle records, social security screening, and a drug and alcohol test as required by law or company policy.
