Commuter reimbursement. Job Description The medication technician assists resident with medications under supervision of a licensed nurse. Assists by performing routine resident related care duties and activities of daily living. Principal Duties:
The medication technician accepts, accounts and documents all new medications brought into the facility. Safely prepares and aides with resident self-administration of medications. Maintains accurate medication documentation and records. Guides the resident in maintaining his/her schedule of daily activities, while maintaining the resident's sense of independence. Individualizes care and assistance provided to each resident depending on level of functioning. Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising. Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

High school graduate, student or equivalent. Completion of required RCFE training as medication technician Current first aid & CPR certification. At least one year of experience as a caregiver in a facility or in-home caregiving Knowledge and practice of safe lifting and back care techniques Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English Minimum one-year experience preferred as medication technician
