As a Mobile Game Developer specializing in Solar2D (formerly Corona SDK), you will be instrumental in creating innovative gameplay experiences for iOS and Android platforms. This role focuses on delivering fast, monetization-ready prototypes and high-performance games, allowing you to showcase your skills in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, prototype, and build cross-platform mobile games using Solar2D with Lua scripting.
- Implement core gameplay mechanics and game systems from concept to deployment.
- Optimize game performance for seamless experiences across a wide variety of mobile devices.
- Integrate monetization features such as in-app purchases and ad networks to ensure games are market-ready.
- Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other developers to iterate and refine gameplay.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices in game development.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Proven experience developing mobile games with Solar2D (Corona SDK) and Lua scripting language.
- Strong understanding of cross-platform game deployment for both iOS and Android.
- Demonstrated ability to prototype quickly and efficiently in fast-paced environments.
- Solid knowledge of optimizing mobile game performance and managing device compatibility.
- Experience integrating monetization solutions such as ads and in-app purchases.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while maintaining high productivity and attention to detail.
- Portfolio showcasing shipped mobile games developed with Solar2D/Corona SDK.
- Familiarity with app store submission processes and analytics tools.
- Experience working with remote, multicultural teams.
Contract position with remote work flexibility.
Compensation:Hourly rate ranging from $50 to $120.
Eligibility:Open to candidates with the required skills and qualifications, able to work remotely.
