Our Business Intelligence Analyst opening is an opportunity to make a substantial impact by designing and delivering analytical development and implementation projects. You will be in the middle of the action, serving as a liaison between stakeholders, users, and developers. You will collaborate to define deliverables, set, and communicate goals, track progress, and evaluate and refine results. This is a very visible position at a company where you will have autonomy, work on a variety of self-driven tasks, and have the opportunity for personal and career growth. Position Summary
This position works collaboratively with end users to determine information needs and provide BI reporting solutions. Uses BI data to solve organizational problems through reports, analysis and data visualization. This position will develop BI solutions to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers. This position is located in Farmington Hills, MI. VASCORs business intelligence environment is primarily Microsoft. The development tools are currently all Microsoft. Position Responsibilities:
Complete projects within established timelines and within budget constraints with high quality The ability and desire to rapidly learn complex BI technologies and software products in a self-starting mode 75% - Develop, design and maintain new and existing BI solutions
Data analysis and modeling Report development Data pipeline and integration
20% - Provide in-house technical support and consultation on the use and features of VASCOR BI solutions 5% - Provide on-call support for production applications Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience:
Education Bachelors degree or 1 to 3 years of equivalent experience. Training NA Technical Skills Business Modeling Power Platform SQL Visual Studio Azure DevOps SSAS/SSRS/SSIS DAX M Data visualization (Ability to design and implement informative reporting that translates data into business value) Knowledge of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. Basic programming skills (ex. VBA, C#) Interpersonal Skill: Drive for Results Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability Positive and constructive minded Keen attention to detail Curious and creative person with ambition and passion Strong written, oral, presentation and project management skills. Self-starter; independent-thinker willing to take on new tasks and be exposed to different areas of responsibility Experience Experience with reporting and analyzing data a must with an understanding of the supply chain flow.
