Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital includes 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.
We are seeking a Hospital Violence Intervention Program Manager - Operations. The Hospital Violence Intervention Program (HVIP) Manager Operations is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the hospital-based violence intervention program. This role ensures the program successfully meets grant objectives and delivers comprehensive support services to patients who have experienced violent injury. The HVIP Manager oversees program operations, supervises staff, manages community partnerships, ensures compliance with grant requirements, and monitors program outcomes. The position provides direct leadership to the Hospital Responder and Community Case Manager while serving as the primary liaison between hospital departments, community organizations, and citywide violence prevention initiatives.
Job Duties:
- Lead the implementation and ongoing operations of the Hospital Violence Intervention Program.
- Ensure adherence to grant requirements, program objectives, and organizational policies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain operational workflows, protocols, and best practices.
- Monitor program performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate services across hospital departments to ensure timely patient engagement.
- Participate in strategic planning and program expansion initiatives.
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for the Hospital Responder and Community Case Manager.
- Conduct regular team meetings, case reviews, and professional development activities.
- Ensure staff maintain appropriate documentation, follow-up, and service delivery standards.
- Foster a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and patient-centered approach to care.
- Support staff in engaging patients who have experienced violent injuries and are admitted to the hospital.
- Ensure eligible patients are offered services including:
- Promote continuity of care between hospital-based services and community-based support programs.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations, violence prevention partners, law enforcement agencies, social service providers, and public health stakeholders.
The Hospital Violence Intervention Program exists as part of a citywide grant funded program to engage with patients who have recently experienced violent injury. Through this program, a Hospital Responder meets with every violently injured patient who is admitted to the hospital and offers connection to services including (crime victims compensation, a path to safe housing, mental health services and more). Additionally, any patient who consents to the services offered will be connected to the Community Case Manager who will work with the patient in the community to meet the patient's stated goals of service.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or a related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in violence intervention, community health, case management, social services, public health, healthcare operations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Experience managing grant-funded programs strongly preferred.
- Experience working with trauma-impacted populations and underserved communities preferred.
